It has some of the most spectacular sunsets on the Cape. Locally, we loved going to Raycroft Beach. Beautiful sandy beach, calm waters and brilliant tide pools to finds crabs and other gems. Southeast Winds 5 to 10 Mph, becoming south 10 to 15 Mph with Gusts up to 25 Mph in the afternoon. Mayflower beach, one of the best, is just a 2 or 3 minute walk from the house, This beach was close, within 1 1/2 miles from the house.

Tidal pools and tons of room for all activities during low tide. Great family beach with toilet facilities and a snack bar. Loved this beach.
Get there early because the parking lot gets full very fast. Huge beach when the tides goes out. You will think you are in the Caribbean when the tide goes out...Best beach anywhere but parking lot fills early. The tide goes way out and the water is clear and low on the sea weed. Just beautiful there. Southwest Winds 10 to 15 Mph with Gusts up to 30 Mph.

Lots of tide pools and shallow water to play in. !Beautiful sunsets, you can take walks in either direction for miles when the tide is out !
Good restroom facilities. Mayflower Beach Tide Times and Heights. It was large, flat and had great views, great sand and wasn't over crowded. Bay side. It’s one of the few beaches that many people enjoy more at low tide, since there’s a few hundred feet of tidal flats which form pools to explore and provide extra space for a few hours. There’s the Ice Cream Smuggler nearby off Route 6A and Captain Frosty’s just a bit further south on that road. Very shallow, clear water with many sand bars where you can walk out a long ways, and lots of opportunity for exploring small sealife (especially sand dollars, crabs, fish). Good restroom facilities.Ample parking. Walk out a t low tide forever, tide pools everywhere, damn near crystal clear water.
There’s also a $300 non-resident seasonal option.
I would recommend going around 2pm. The beautiful thing about Mayflower beach is that it’s really three beaches in one, and even during peak season there’s usually an open spot to be found for the dedicated beachgoer. And decent facilities. Fantastic Beach, Great Sand Bar ! And the sunset is worth checking out!

A large wide beach, soft sand, clean bathrooms and Restaurant. Its clean and beautiful...so much fun with little fish swimming around in low tide.

You do need to get there early, especially on weekends, but the days we went later and couldn't get in with our weekly pass, we were able to go to nearby Corporation Beach free of charge...end of summer??

You have to get there by noon to get a parking. If your going for the day, arrive early as parking fills up quickly. About. This public beach has plenty of room for frisbee games, lifeguards on duty, public restrooms, a boardwalk, picnic area and paid parking. Perfect for young families. Residents of Dennis can buy a $40 sticker good for a season. Love the calm and warm water- low tide the beach stretches out forever- great for a day with the kids and coming back to fly kites and watch the sunset! We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. Highs in the mid 60s. Perfect for children to play in the water without worry of strong waves. the clean bathrooms and food are also nice to have. And when the tide comes in, you can wade for miles because it is so shallowly sloped.
Populated but not croweded. It is awesome to come and go as you please, morning, day, or evening, forgoing the daily "Lot is Full" sign that is up most mornings. Beautiful beach with little to no seaweed (huge for our two young kids). Whether you want to dip your toes in the water, explore tide pools, or just take a stroll upon a pristine beach at sunset, this Cape Cod beach has it all. The water was so pretty and blue - not murky or full of seaweed like many beaches.

Get there early, but if you have small kids, it is worth it. We preferred Mayflower to the other beaches in Dennis.
