PERIMETER SECURITY

What is Perimeter Security?

Crucial elements in perimeter security include electric fencing, motion detection beams, warning lights, CCTV systems and digipads.

High walls or fences and heavy motorised gates should also be used as physical perimeter barriers. Ensure that your gate has been designed so it cannot be lifted off its rails and not use lasers that stop the gate closing when the beam is broken.

The perimeter of your property, particularly around access points should be well lit and free of thick foliage, which may afford concealment for criminals.
