That was hugely helpful. When it is folded down, you will have a space to store decorative pillows and throws that are not being used.

I know- I don’t have an image of the headboard yet. Would like to do this but modify it for a horizontal bed. Saw this on youtube, rough jobs, uneven finishings, and top catches the base of the bed when folding hence causing splinter in wood. I really plan on having it up this week- at some point. Do the plans include how to build the bump out? Thanks.

They drilled the hill into the frame (they marked it out when it was in the up position. 800-934-6711. Sheetrock/drywall mounting is possible only if supported by studs. lol.

I am so excited – this will be my most complicated build to date but with your help it is going to be a success. Like a heavy-duty hinge for a heavier door. This makes it heavier but was much cheaper. I purchased on May 12th through my pay pal account . I would so love a supply list and a short how to on this. Thanks! Building a murphy bed would be wonderful use for the space. This is amazing! I’ve seen murphy beds with a fold out table option that I would like to have available. Love this DIY. . Door hinges are used in the lower back part of the bed to make it able to fold out. My wife really likes the idea of having the extra space, but I didn’t necessarily want to spend an arm and a leg to get it. You have a pdf.

I have some guests coming starting in March, and then again in May and June- this would be such a great project.
